American Kestrel Portrait

This was another picture entered for the garden club contest I mentioned in my woodpecker deviation. This little bird of prey, also known as a sparrowhawk, is most definitely one of my favorite pieces I've done. It took best in show at the competition. A little better than last time!!

Edit: Used a reference picture, but I have been luck enough to see one of these guys close up. They are gorgeous!! And so tiny....
